Its almost a simple barrel swap to get the Glock 21 to 10mm. So I decided to do a little video explaining how to do it and demonstrate the difference in firepower youll achieve while doing so.

Glock 21 conversion to 10mm. Converting a GLOCK 21 to 10mm is really rather easy. After all the G21 is basically a 45 ACP variant of the GLOCK 20 a 10mm pistol. The frame is the same and as shown in the prior video the GLOCK 21s slide can accomodate barrels made for the G20.
Its almost a simple barrel swap to get the Glock 21 to 10mm. The 10mm barrel wall is noticeably thicker than the 45 barrel wall. Putting the 10mm barrel in the 45 slide seemed to fit with just as much clearance as the original 45 barrel.
I loaded a 10mm mag in the G21 that now had the 10mm barrel and cycled a mag full of 10mm rounds without a problem in loading or ejecting. For a G21 conversion to 10mm I prefer Gen4. In my experience the stock Gen4 dual-spring RSA can handle a broader range of ammo choices extending higher into the full-power range before it becomes necessary to use an aftermarket RSA with stronger springs.
Claims the Gen4 dual-spring RSA has a longer service life compared to the Gen3 single-spring RSA. I ran over 1k rounds through a kkm 4510mm G21 conversion barrel with dismal results. Others have posted similarly.
LWD caried those barrels but no longerprobably because of so many complaints. One can occasionally find a complete G20 uppe for no more tha the cost of a good barrel. The Glock 21 breech face is too wide for the 10mm case.
You can always swap a complete uppper along with a 10mm ejector and you would be set. I guess my 2 year old G2021 doesnt exist then. Im personally aware of several folks who tried the conversion barrel and it.
My BIL has come across a Glock 21 complete with the 10mm conversion. It is a first generation Glock 21. It has a extra guide rod with 22 lb recoil spring 2 10 mm mags and the conversion barrel plus a half dozen 21 mags.

Reply 2 on. March 13 2013 105608 AM MDT. Also keep in mind that the G21 slide is lighter weight than the G20 slide and is not as suitable for the full power heavy 10mm loads.
With that said I sometimes use a stock Glock 20 barrel in my G21 slide and just limit the loads to 80 of full power. The safest way to do it is to buy a G20 slide and barrel or a LW G20 slide and LW barrel and use it on your G21 frame either way I would recommend getting the LW barrel. I have always been against the G21 conversion to 10mm by just a conversion barrel because the breech is to large for the 10mm and would cause ftffte and finally someone listened.
I had the Stormlake 10mm conversion barrel the only problem I had was erratic ejection pattern I did a simple modification to my 45acp extractor that made it better. But still not perfect I ended up selling the barrel and mags to a member here and bought a 20sf instead and also got just a complete 21 upper for the best reliability. The 21 is a 45 caliber and the 10mm is a 40 caliber the mag extractor and springs would all be different along with the barrel.

I almost bought a KKM 10mm conversion barrel 2 10mm mags for 155 bucks but missed it by seconds. My email arrived seconds after the guy who ended up with it. Maybe that was for the best because I ended up finding a G20 for 350 in like new condition and I love it.

You can shoot 10mm out of a G214414 with just a stock Glock barrel but shooting 45 out of the 10mm will require either slidebarrel mods or a conversion barrel.
